Customize Windows 11 is equipped with a new set of interfaces that are quite attractive. However, if you are not satisfied with what Windows 11 offers, you can adjust it to your liking by editing the Registry.
Note: If you can’t find the values in the Advanced folder, you can create them yourself. The way to do this is to right-click a space on the right side of the Advanced window and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Then, you enter the values in the Value name box and select the value to adjust. Some adjustments require you to restart your computer to see the change.
Return to Start menu on Windows 10
Although the Start menu on Windows 10 has just been refreshed, Windows 11 brings a newer version of the Start menu. If you are not familiar with the changes on the Start menu of Windows 11, you can return to the Start menu of Windows 10 with a very simple trick. Proceed as follows:
Method 1: Download the pre-edited Registry file
- You access the link to download the pre-edited Registry file to download the pre-fixed .reg file to activate the Windows 10 Start menu on Windows 11
- After downloading, you double-click the file to run
- In the new confirmation window that appears, select Yes > Yes like in the image below
Once done, you need to restart your computer to apply the changes to your Windows 11 computer.
Method 2: Edit the Registry file yourself file
- You press the Windows + R key combination to open Run, then type Regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. Or press the Start button then type Regedit and click Registry Editor in the search results quả
In the confirmation window, click Yes to access and modify the Registry Editor.

Resize Taskbar on Windows 11
Windows 11 allows you to change the height and size of the icons on the Taskbar via a value named ” TaskbarSi ” in the Registry. There are three sizes that you can choose from: Small (TaskbarSi = 0), Medium (TaskbarSi = 1) and Large (TaskbarSi = 2).

Hide/show Widgets icon on Taskbar
On Windows 11, the News and Interests feature of Windows 10 will be renamed Widgets, and it will display with an icon that appears by default on the Taskbar. You can completely adjust, allowing the Widgets icon to show/hide to your liking.
To do this, you have to find the value named ” TaskbarDa ” in the Windows 11 Registry.

Then find the value ” TaskbarDa ” then double click it to edit. The default 32-bit DWORD value of TaskbarDa corresponds to the current state, and you can set it to 0 to hide.
Windows 11 defaults to the Start button with application icons centered on the Taskbar. The Start menu will also appear in the center of the screen. But don’t worry, Windows 11 still allows you to align everything to the tight left corner through the value named ” TaskbarAl. “

Enable or disable Snap Assist screen arrangement feature on Windows 11
On Windows 11, Microsoft redesigned the Snap Assist screen arrangement feature so that you can easily place application windows in their preferred positions. You can click the maximize window button (or right-click) to view and select window arrangements.
If you don’t like it, you can disable this feature using the value named ” EnableSnapAssistFlyout ” in the Registry.
Then find the value ” EnableSnapAssistFlyout ” then double click it to edit. The 32-bit DWORD value of EnableSnapAssistFlyout is 1 for enabling and 0 for disable.
